Job Description

Job Summary:
As an Environmental and Waste Management Intern, you'll get the chance to experience what it takes to maintain environmental compliance and waste management in a highly regulated atmosphere. You'll help ensure the organization meets regulatory requirements while improving environmental performance. The role combines hands-on field work, data tracking, and collaboration with environmental teams.

In this hands-on role, you'll support environmental compliance efforts, help manage waste‑handling processes, and contribute to initiatives that improve our overall environmental performance. You'll collect and track data, collaborate with experienced environmental professionals, and gain real‑world experience that directly impacts how we operate responsibly. People With:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's or graduate program in environmental studies, environmental engineering, waste management, biology, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative technical environment U.S. citizenship
A Successful Candidate Brings:
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, or PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting Completion of at least one year of college-level coursework in environmental engineering, sciences, or related program
Pay:
Estimated Starting Base Salary Range:
$23-$25/hr. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test and vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively. Such access is required for the performance of this position. Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements.
