What they do
An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

High school diploma or equivalent.Experience:
Prior hospital environmental service experience. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks. Prior experience working with the public; customer service.Physical Requirements:
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
