1st Shift Environmental TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Technician to join our team in Hatfield, PA. This entry-level opportunity allows you to gain valuable experience in the environmental industry, working with a team that has over 30 years of expertise. You will be responsible for handling and transporting labeled drums of waste, identifying the contents of each drum, and ensuring the proper separation and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Responsibilities Transport labeled drums of waste safely and efficiently. Detect and identify the contents of each drum. Load and offload drums onto trucks. Separate hazardous waste from non-hazardous waste and place them appropriately in the warehouse. Essential Skills Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or Chemistry, or one year of relevant industry experience. Strong work ethic and positive attitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications OSHA 40 certification is advantageous. Experience with hazardous material handling and disposal. Experience in soil sampling is a plus. Work Environment The role involves working both indoors and outdoors, in varied climate conditions. You should be comfortable lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday, and standing or walking over uneven surfaces for extended periods. Safety is a top priority, and all necessary protocols and equipment are provided to ensure your protection. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
