• Previous experience in a customer-facing role is required.
• Willingness to learn Microsoft Excel is required
• previous knowledge is a huge plus!
• Excellent note-taking and communication skills required.
• Experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
• Job specific training will be provided. Level 1 Technicians will work alongside Lead Technicians to:
• Inspect and test emergency showers and eyewashes
• Inspect and test chemical fume hoods and calibrate airflow alarms
• Perform HEPA filter integrity testing
• Generate reports and document inspection results (in Excel)
• Assist Lead Technicians with additional duties

Job Setting and Location:

• Remote-travel based position
• Jobs are performed in laboratory and manufacturing settings including cleanrooms, schools, universities, and research labs
• Most jobs are located along route 2 between Fitchburg and Cambridge, and along 495 between Franklin and Amesbury.

Shift/Hours:

• Part-time hours are 2-3 days per week (M-F) to start
• flexible
• Full-time employees are 5 days/ week (M-F). If no field work is scheduled during normal business hours, full-time employees are on-call.
• Typical shift hours: approx. 7am-3pm

• After School Hours:

  approx. 12pm-7pm
• Many days finish before 3pm
• When school is in session, their services may be scheduled "after school hours"

Qualifications and Competencies:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of work experience required
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs, hold 8 lbs overhead for 10 seconds, and at times push carts with 10 to 120 lbs of equipment.
• Must be able to sit/ stand for an extended period.
• Minimum 21 years old with a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
