Wound Care Nurse (RN) Bessemer, Alabama Northgate Health & Rehab is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Wound Care Nurse. Supportive and collaborative leadership team Team-focused culture with strong clinical support Stable skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment Opportunity to make a direct impact on resident care and outcomes Competitive compensation Full-time position with consistent schedule Career growth opportunities within a growing organization Wound Care RN Responsibilities Assess, monitor, and manage resident wounds and skin conditions Develop, implement, and update individualized wound treatment plans Perform wound measurements, evaluations, and documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members Monitor wound healing progress and modify treatment plans as needed Ensure compliance with infection prevention and wound care protocols Educate nursing staff on wound prevention, skin integrity, and treatment best practices Participate in clinical meetings, care plan conferences, and quality improvement initiatives Assist with pressure injury prevention programs and skin rounds Maintain accurate and timely documentation Qualifications Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license required Wound Care Certification preferred but not required Previous wound care, treatment nurse, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute experience preferred Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills Knowledge of pressure injury prevention, wound management, and infection control practices Excellent communication and teamwork skills Apply today and join a team that is committed to quality care, teamwork, and making a difference every day.
