Infection Prevention LVN Golden Empire Nursing and Rehab , located in Grass Valley, is seeking an infection prevention nurse. The primary purpose is to prevent the spread of infection to resident, staff, visitors and providers while in our facility. This position covers several different programs that are directly connected to infection prevention. These programs will be managed by the IP and governed by the regulation from DCPH, DCD, DMS and our local Health Officer.

Qualifications:

Valid California RN/LVN license Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Ability to apply basic principles of the nursing care Have an IP certification or complete an IP certification program Responsibilities include but not limited to: Infection Prevention Water and Waste Management Review and update policies Review AFLs for new requirements Monthly safety meetings Lead Disaster Preparedness Team Fire Drills Compliance for inspections HAI-State Hand Hygiene Program IIPP Injury Illness Prevention Program Antibiotic Stewardship Program SIRUM-drug donations Attend QAPI-infection report for month Annual CDC Reporting as required by CMS Covid-19 rules/regulation for: Employees, Residents, Visitors, Volunteers, Vendors, Practitioners, Students Oversee all PPE requirements Educate staff with each episode of infectious outbreaks in community or facility Coordinate with DSD all education on regulation requirement as new information is given to SNFs Work with central supply personnel on ordering needed supplies Administer vaccines as needed
