Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Preventionist LPN or RN to join our healthcare team in Rockmart, GA. This role also encompasses responsibilities as a Staffing Development Coordinator, ensuring the highest standards of infection control and staff competency development. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for promoting patient safety and staff education. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct surveillance and data analysis to identify infection trends and recommend corrective actions. Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention practices and protocols. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to promote a culture of safety and infection control. Coordinate staffing development initiatives including orientation, ongoing education, and competency assessments for nursing staff. Assist in the development and implementation of staff scheduling and workforce planning to meet patient care needs. Maintain accurate records related to infection control and staff development activities. Participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory surveys as needed. Qualifications Current LPN or RN licensure in the state of Georgia. Experience in infection prevention and control within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of CDC guidelines, OSHA regulations, and other relevant infection control standards. Experience or interest in staffing development, including training and competency evaluation. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and prepare reports related to infection control and staffing. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems. Work Environment This position is based in Rockmart, GA, and involves working closely with clinical staff, management, and external regulatory bodies. The role requires a proactive approach to infection prevention and staff development to ensure a safe and effective healthcare environment. Satisfactory completion of background check and preemployment drug screen required. Benefits included for
