Our team of award-winning nurses is growing, and we are looking for talented, compassionate RNs to join our team. The Infection Preventionist RN Per Diem will: Perform targeted surveillance of health care associated infections Identify and monitor infection related data (nosocomial and community acquired), analyze and provide information to key customers Report communicable diseases as required by law Ensure Infection Prevention and Nursing protocols and policies are evidence-based, up to date, and implemented at the bedside Identify educational needs and provide consultation and support for educational activities. Maintains knowledge of current Infection Prevention practices. Demonstrates competency in performing all job related processes and procedures within the scope of practice.
Requirements:
Current licensed Registered Nurse in New Jersey preferred, or Masters in Public Health, B.S. in Nursing or Microbiology or Licensed Medical Technologist. Minimum three (3) years staff nurse experience or lab/ microbiology experience in an acute care setting. Previous experience in infection control preferred. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred. Must be obtained after three (3) years in the role. BLS Certification, as approved by the American Heart Association.
Salary Range:
43.64 - 71.99 USD We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
