Flavorist
- a strong working knowledge of
FEMA GRAS
raw materials and their appropriate use in flavor formulations
- Create diverse flavor profiles that meet target physical, chemical, and organoleptic performance specifications
- Develop production-viable flavor formulations that conform to established technical parameters, regulatory guidelines, and customer specific market requirements
- Provides analytical and organoleptic support to the Quality Control department with the assessments of raw materials and finished flavors
- Proficient ability to duplicate flavor profiles utilizing sensory evaluation, analytical data, and expert knowledge of raw material functionality
- Conduct flavor training and provide technical support to sales and customers, including the presentation of flavor concepts and product demonstrations.
Job Requirements
- -Bachelor"s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or an equivalent area
- Completion of a recognized Flavorist training program-Flavor creation and formulation for complex matrices/applications-Demonstrated ability to independently create, optimize, and commercialize flavor formulations with limited supervision
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, formula management systems, and Enterprise Resource planning software.
