Job DescriptionThe FSQA Manager, Technical Services serves as Domino's technical authority for ingredient commercialization, supplier qualification, specification management, and product quality performance. This role leads complex innovation, renovation, supply continuity, and supplier onboarding projects from concept through full-scale implementation. The position partners cross-functionally with Product Development, Procurement, Supply Chain Operations, Marketing, Regulatory, and suppliers to ensure ingredients meet Domino's food safety, quality, regulatory, operational, and brand standards.
ResponsibilitiesLead complex innovation and renovation projects through onboarding and qualification of new suppliers and ingredients for innovation and supply chain projectsDevelop and implement new processes to improve Domino's Technical Services QA policies and procedures.
Reviews, creates, and modifies specifications, including product attributes and analytical measures, for new ingredients and new suppliers.
Leads end-to-end commercialization activities for new ingredients, suppliers, and product renovations from concept through full-scale implementation.
Is the technical authority accountable for scale-up, supplier qualification and approval, troubleshooting, plant trials and validation, product evaluations, risk assessment and mitigation, data driven decision making, project and timeline management, and specifications and technical standards. Articulates and communicates impact of changes to leadership to help ensure brand image and ingredient quality.
Is a leading SME on cross functional project teams. Places a high standard on ingredient quality and brand image. Is the "go-to" person across the company for some ingredients and technical services projects.
Identifies and leads implementation of improvements to Domino's development processes. Creates opportunities for innovation that leads to higher quality, cost reduction, increased consistency, or process optimization.
Identifies opportunities and leads evaluation for continuous improvement of products, processes, SOPs and specifications. Leverages relationships and research to id and evaluate improvements to products and processes to develop and refine SOPs, procedures and specifications for ingredients. Leveraging industry leading methodology and innovative approaches.
Guides, develops, and oversees execution for appropriate plans for extensive consumer and analytical product testing.
Leads food safety and quality assurance activities associated with ingredient commercialization, supplier qualification, specification management, product evaluations, and technical standards. Identifies system gaps and implements solutions that reduce product, supplier, and brand risk.
QualificationsBachelor of Science or equivalent experience and expertise in food science or related field. Minimum 10 years' experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance or Product Development preferably within the QSR industryRelevant food safety certification or equivalent such as Serve Safe, HACCP, IFT, certificate in food analysis, food testing, food processing, lean manufacturing, or similar proof of continued educationStrong knowledge of test plan development, data collection, statistical analysis, and data summarization. Ability to communicate data summary to leaders, with recommendations based on professional experience and organizational goalsStrong analytical, presentation, and communication skills, with outstanding attention to detailStrong and proven background in food manufacturing, quality management, food safety and food manufacturing troubleshootingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced Problem solving and decision-making skillsUnderstand and track market relevant data streams to predict impacts to the brand and proactively plan in order to protect customers and consumersOutstanding people and relationship building skills and ability to interact effectively with various constituenciesExcellent product and equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
