We are expanding our U.S. operations to deliver specialized services for leading mining companies in Arizona, with potential expansion in Nevada. Position Summary We are seeking an early-career geologist to coordinate safe, accurate core-cutting activities and support geological and geotechnical logging services. The initial assignment will focus primarily on supervising core cutting, sample identification, quality control and daily documentation. Training on Cumbrex and client procedures will be provided. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily work of two core cutting technicians and conduct pre-shift coordination. Verify core IDs, depths, cut lines, sample intervals, orientation and chain-of-custody records before and after cutting. Confirm that cutting, labeling, photography, storage and housekeeping follow approved procedures. Support geological and geotechnical core logging as the service expands. Enter and review field data using tablets, spreadsheets or client systems. Identify quality or safety issues, stop work when necessary and escalate promptly. Prepare concise daily production and quality reports and coordinate professionally with the client team. Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering or a closely related field. 0-2 years of relevant experience; strong field-course or laboratory experience may substitute for direct industry experience. Working knowledge of rock/mineral identification and basic core logging concepts. Strong attention to detail, organization and communication. Valid driver's license and ability to work at an industrial/mining site. Ability to meet client-site access and safety requirements. Preferred qualifications Hands-on experience with drill core, core photography, sampling, geotechnical logging or sample preparation. MSHA training or prior mining-site experience. Experience with Excel, GIS, Leapfrog or geological databases. Work environment and physical requirements Prolonged standing; frequent handling of core boxes; repetitive work. Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lb and team lifts for heavier items, with reasonable accommodation. Required PPE may include safety-toe boots, eye/face protection, hearing protection, gloves and respiratory protection where required.
