Job Description

FirstCarbon Solutions seeks a Geologist-Hydrogeologist I to support ESG and environmental consulting projects. The role involves assisting with hydrogeologic investigations, groundwater and surface water assessments, and environmental site characterization. Responsibilities include field sampling, logging borings, monitoring well installation oversight, data analysis, and preparing technical figures and reports. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support permitting and regulatory compliance, and contribute to sustainability-focused solutions for clients, with strong growth and learning opportunities. Responsibilities Assist with hydrogeologic and groundwater investigations Conduct soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling Support installation and logging of borings and monitoring wells Analyze hydrogeologic and environmental data using GIS and related tools Prepare technical reports, maps, and figures for client deliverables Support regulatory permitting and environmental compliance documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary ESG and environmental consulting teams Contribute to environmental impact and sustainability assessments Required Skills Hydrogeologic site characterization Groundwater modeling Environmental data analysis GIS and spatial analysis Soil and groundwater sampling Technical report writing Regulatory compliance (CEQA/NEPA) Hydrogeologic field methods (wells, borings) Geochemical data interpretation Client-facing communication
