• Required Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist II (MLS II) to perform routine and complex laboratory testing in a clinical laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, experience troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation, and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely patient results while maintaining quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Determine specimen acceptability according to established laboratory criteria. Perform routine and complex laboratory testing following departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation. Make technical decisions regarding testing procedures and problem resolution. Prepare, validate, and evaluate new reagents and quality control materials. Report accurate and timely laboratory test results. Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Maintain adequate testing bench supplies and laboratory inventory. Assist with specimen processing when needed. Maintain a safe laboratory environment and follow all PPE and safety protocols. Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff to ensure quality patient care. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or another qualifying science field meeting CLIA and state requirements. 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience required. State Medical Technologist License, if required by state regulations. ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required, depending on client requirements. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency with laboratory computer systems; experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Must successfully pass a Color Vision Screening. Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business needs.
