Baptist Health is looking to add a highly motivated and skilled Medical Lab Scientist to join our team working at Baptist Medical Center Nassau. This is a Full-Time opportunity. This candidate must hold a valid Medical Technologist - Generalist license in the State of Florida before hire and have at least one year of working experience as a Medical Technologist. This Medical Technologist will be supervised by the Director and Section Supervisors; however, they can perform all responsibilities of this job description without on-site supervision. This candidate will work on a night shift rotating schedule, with a smaller team of two other Medical Technologists. This candidate will have the opportunity to rotate within different areas of the lab and sharpen the skills within each specialty. As a Medical Lab Scientist, your duties will include, but are not limited to: Maintaining expertise and performing technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in laboratory areas where applicable. Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals Supervision by Director and Section Supervisors; can perform all responsibilities without on-site supervision. Supervising MLTs as General Supervisor and serving as Charge Technologist in the absence of other lab supervisors or MTs. May instruct new employees and students.
