Research experience in conducting analyses related to the delivery, conduct, or outcomes of healthcare, in either a health system or community setting Strong candidates will demonstrate an ability to develop well-designed applications for federal research funding, support clinical and health services researchers in development of quantitative aims in applications for federal funding, and have a background of publications in peer-reviewed journals. Research addressing population health, developing programs to optimize health outcomes for vulnerable populations, or investigating the cost of disparities in care is valued. Expertise in conducting retrospective data analysis using large national datasets, VA, or health system electronic medical record data, and conducting randomized controlled trials are also encouraged. Successful candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for developing and working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging faculty and trainees, and an interest in conducting independent research as well as supporting multidisciplinary teams in developing collaborative grant applications.
