Founded in 1978, Micro Quality Calibration (MQC) is one of the largest privately owned metrology labs on the West Coast, serving aerospace, defense, medical, automotive, and other precision-driven industries. Operating in a new 22,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, MQC is trusted by thousands of companies nationwide. Calibration is performed to NIST traceable standards, A2LA accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL, and known for our quality and speed, with a 5-business-day turnaround.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced technician specializing in Physical Dimensional Calibration. You'll ensure the accuracy and reliability of clients' measurement instruments, requiring precision, organization, and communication.
Responsibilities:
Calibrate instruments (thread ring/ plugs, crimp tools, rulers, roughness testers, thickness gauges, etc.) Calibrate standards and generate reports Inspect equipment and collaborate with engineers Provide technical guidance during audits Maintain safety and troubleshoot equipment
Requirements and Skills:
Must have proven Calibration experience Military
PMEL/TMDE/DOD
training and familiarity with
ISO 17025
standards preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines effectively. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for potential onsite customer visits Valid driver's license, clean record, and U.S. citizen or permanent resident required.
