Job Description

Job Summary Occupational Medical Technician Responsibilities and Duties Basic functions of the role consist of the following : Knowledge of medical terminology Assisting with medical injuries and assisting medical providers with the care of patients Maintaining and performing inventory checks of the supplies Perform occupational health physical components Perform Vision Tests, Fit Tests, Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Drug & Alcohol Testing, Audiograms, Phlebotomy, Vital Signs Administer Urinary Tests Must be able to work flexible hours during peak times
Qualifications and Skills Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma required. Must be able to maintain the confidentiality regarding HIPAA laws Effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills. Proficient computer skills — including both hardware management and software familiarity; including Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, and Power Point. Must have valid driver's license to meet minimum qualifications. Must be able to attain/maintain TWIC/Safety Cards. Also, must have reliable transportation. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen along with pre-employment extensive background screening.
Physical Requirements:
Position requires physical activities but are not limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, finger use, grasping, and hearing, and seeing. Ability to stoop, bend, and climb stairs and ladders as required to perform assigned job function. Ability to view a computer screen for long periods of time. Manual dexterity for operating computer and other office equipment. Must be able to stand long period of time. Must be able to exert up to fifty (50) pounds, in the amount of force needed to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds
