Job Description

- High School diploma or equivalent Preferred
- Some college coursework in Healthcare Sciences Work Experience Required
- Five years releveant experience, or pursuing an education in PT/OT or
PTA/COTA
program may be subsitituted in lieu of experience. Certifications Required- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of required job information.
- Prepares/maintains work area for treatment including ordering of supplies/linen and pharmaceuticals; orients and mentors new staff in needs of assigned area.
- Monitors and assists in patient-care as specifically instructed by the therapist according to their competencies.
- Assists with generalized office and front desk procedures.
- Transports patients to/from department or room via w/c or stretcher, as directed by professional staff in a safe and courteous manner.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
