Scientific Analysis:

Performs and/or coordines scientific analyses including technical planning activities; da collection, validion, and management; modeling and da analyses; analyses of site locion and/or conditions; risk estimion and analyses; or analysis of instrumention da.

Documention and Presention:

Prepares and reviews technical documention such as technical memorandums and reports on scientific findings, correspondence, river and reservoir analysis guidance, and other technical documention as needed. Makes oral presentions of technical documention coordinion meetings, technical briefings, or other meetings.

Review and Mentoring:

Provides technical reviews, peer reviews, and checking of scientific analyses, and technical documention. Provides technical guidance, training, and advice to lower graded staff and other internal and external stakeholders.   • Develops, monitors, and manages project plans including outlining project scope, schedule, and budget; coordining and communicion with other groups or offices; monitoring tasks and budget; managing changes to project plans; identifying and addressing issues prior to adverse impacts to schedule or budget; and participing on or leading technical teams. To qualify for this position the GS-11 grade level:
Experience :

To qualify, you must possess least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or prive sectors). Specialized experience is defined as demonstred experience: carrying out conventional or routine civil engineering analyses including technical planning activities, da collection, modeling and da analysis, risk estimion and analysis, engineering design studies and projects, technical documention, and other civil engineering analyses. You must include hours per week worked.

Successful completion of least 3 years of progressively higher-level gradue educion leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. You must include transcripts.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Work is primarily sedentary in an office setting. Travel is required about once per month. Field assignments are often in remote and wild areas and involve standing, bending, walking, carrying, climbing, wading streams, and boing; all while using da collection equipment and instrumention. Work may also include frequent lifting and carrying of moderely heavy items typically weighing less than 50 pounds such as field gear and sediment samples. Field assignments may also involve driving motor vehicles and trailers to work sites, some of which may be remote, and include overnight stays in remote locions.
