the Lennar Foundation Cancer Center. City of Hope is a private, non-profit clinical research center, hospital, and graduate school providing high-quality cancer care across four (4) states. Receiving its NCI designation in 1981, City of Hope is committed to providing comprehensive cancer care and maintaining its status as a leading national cancer center. Here, at the Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, we are equipped with cutting-edge technologies including: TrueBeam 3.0, Ethos, MRIdian MRI-Linac, and Elekta HDR Flexitron. Additionally, we feature advanced simulation and motion management capabilities including a Siemens Go-Open Pro CT Simulation Scanner, alongside Identify and RGSC for breath-hold and gating treatment options. City of Hope provides ample support and opportunity for our physicists to develop both a clinical and research career. Our growing, highly collaborative Orange County department features a dedicated team of clinical professionals, including Radiation Oncology Physicians, Dosimetrists, Radiation Therapists, Nurses, Physicians Assistants, and back office staff (Billers, Assistants, Schedulers). Our cancer center offers a rapidly growing HDR Program utilizing HDR Cylinder, HDRT&R, HDR
Prostate Interstitial, and HDR GYN Interstitial templates. We also offer SRS, SBRT, and Adaptive Radiation Treatment right here at our campus. Additional academic responsibilities may include research and teaching activities based on the candidate's interests and accomplishments.What You'll Do:
Lead advanced radiation treatment planning including dose calculations, plan optimization, and rigorous quality assurance to ensure safe, effective, and patient-specific therapies. Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team—radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, therapists, and other clinical staff—demonstrating exceptional communication skills to ensure clear documentation, coordinated workflows, and superior patient care. Leverage state-of-the-art technology to design, implement, and optimize precise cancer treatment solutions, maintaining the highest standards of safety and clinical effectiveness.Your qualifications should include:
PhD in Physics or related field ABR or ACAMP certification (or eligibility, with certification within 2 years of hire) Strong team player with excellent communication skills—you'll thrive in a collaborative, patient-focused environment, working closely with colleagues to ensure every patient receives the best care possibleNote:
For candidates with >5 years of experience, we may consider applicants for a Senior Physicist role; the pay range is: $237,577/yr- $308,651/yr
