Medical Physicist - Acute Care Facility (Richmond, VA Area) Schedule Full-Time, Day Shift (Monday-Friday) No weekends required
Location:
Richmond, VA (Greater Richmond / Tri-Cities region)
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$150,340 - $224,125 annually (based on experience) Stable weekday schedule supporting work-life balance Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer matching Tuition and certification reimbursement support Opportunity to work in a nationally recognized clinical environment Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Medical Physicist to join a leading 290+ bed acute care hospital recognized for excellence in Gamma Knife surgery, neuroscience, and advanced radiation therapy. This is a full-time, weekday-only role offering a strong focus on work-life balance with no weekend requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced quality assurance (QA), calibration, and quality control of radiation therapy systems, including Gamma Knife and linear accelerators Develop and review precise, patient-specific radiation treatment plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists and neurosurgeons Support delivery of advanced neurological and oncological procedures using state-of-the-art technology Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal protocols Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in clinical physics practices Qualifications Master's Degree required in Medical Physics, Physics, or related field Minimum 2+ years of clinical or acute care experience preferred Residency candidates will be considered Strong expertise in dosimetry, radiation safety, and advanced treatment planning systems Experience with stereotactic radiosurgery and image-guided radiation therapy preferred For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
