SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
This position will provide financial leadership and decision support for key R D Enabling Functions, including the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA), while also leading enterprise innovation pipeline analytics and supporting capital appropriation governance processes. The Manager will partner closely with senior leadership to develop financial plans, evaluate R D investments, and deliver actionable insights that enable effective prioritization and execution of the company's innovation strategy. The role will play a critical part in enhancing transparency, rigor, and consistency in innovation investment decisions and capital allocation processes. The position reports to the Director, Corporate Enabling Functions FP&A and collaborates extensively across Finance, R D, Global Supply Chain, the Office of Transformation Management, and Corporate Development.SUPERVISION RECEIVED

The position may directly manage and develop one or more Finance professionals and provide mentorship across the broader FP&A organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. Partner with CTO, CMO, and GRA leadership to support long-range planning, annual operating plans, and forecasts, providing clear insights into drivers of spend, risks, and opportunities Lead financial support for R D Enabling Functions, including monthly and quarterly variance analysis, trend monitoring, and preparation of executive-ready reporting and insights Support the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation of accurate accruals, alignment with Accounting and FP&A on post-close adjustments, and delivery of timely and actionable actual vs. budget reporting Lead enterprise innovation pipeline analytics, developing models, dashboards, and insights to provide visibility into R D investments and support prioritization and trade-off decisions Own financial modeling and business case development for R D investments, applying consistent methodologies (e.g., NPV, IRR, risk-adjusted returns) and partnering cross-functionally to challenge assumptions and enhance decision quality Support capital appropriation governance processes, ensuring rigor and consistency in investment submissions, reviewing proposals for financial integrity and alignment, and tracking performance against approved business cases Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and forecast accuracy, in collaboration with Accounting and broader FP&A teams Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights, and prepare materials for Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Board discussions, and ad hoc strategic analysesDESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA preferred 3-7+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, Finance, or related roles Experience supporting R D, life sciences, or other highly regulated environments strongly preferred Strong financial modeling skills and demonstrated experience developing investment business cases Proven ability to analyze complex financial and non-financial data and translate into actionable insights Demonstrated success operating in a cross-functional, matrixed organization and influencing senior stakeholders Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Advanced Excel skills required; experience with financial planning systems (specifically OneStream) a plus Additional details: This role is hybrid between Princeton, NJ and remote. Office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.Salary Pay Range:
$109,250.00- $149,500.
