Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Synthesis of products for R&D project support. Maintaining reports for Lab Reactions. Maintains 6 month report for later reference. Works on lab reactions done with all new incoming raw materials and in process reactions. Runs analytical testing to vary results from lab reactions. Runs baseline test such as paint shaker and freeze thaw testing to qualify test emulsions or new products. Records and properly stores hazardous chemicals used daily to be sent to waste facilities. Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of lab equipment. Maintains lab cleanliness. Recycles all materials from lab samples. Ensures lab is supplied with sample jars, chemicals, cleaning agents, and other materials necessary for lab work. Makes notations and records for all data derived from test projects. Prepares Lab emulsions with direction from Technology Manager. Responsible for the Safety of self and others. Performs any other tasks as deemed necessary by the Technology Manager.
Operates following equipment:
Cross-trained on all equipment in the Lab. Operates Parr Reactors and Glass Kettles.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Chemistry Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Attention to detail Excellent written and verbal skills Proficiency in MS Office products
