About the Role A law firm seeks a technology advisor or patent agent for their life sciences patent practice in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or M.D. with research experience in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related field to join their patent prosecution and counseling practice. Responsibilities Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom to operate analyses. Analyze patents and scientific papers to assist patent attorneys on patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation. Draft patent applications and responses to office actions. Participate in post-grant procedures at the USPTO. Qualifications Ph.D. or M.D. with research experience in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or related field. Registered USPTO patent agent or eligibility for registration. Required Skills Superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills. Broad scientific knowledge in biotechnology. Initiative, fast learner, and ability to work well with others. Preferred Skills Technical, written, and verbal communication skills. Scientific knowledge in biotechnology. Pay range and compensation package Pay scale: $90000- $155000
