POSITION OBJECTIVE
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine has an opportunity for a motivated individual to provide technical support to faculty research investigators as a PREP scholar. The individual will become incorporated into the research program of the individual faculty mentor. This individual is expected to spend working hours in research under the direction of the faculty or other lab supervisor and to participate fully as a PREP Scholar in other coursework and development activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform specific experiments under supervision. (65%) Communicate research objectives, studies and results. (10%) Will have coursework and developmental activities. (20%)
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with research report preparation. (4%) Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned (including PREP program activities). (1%)

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
0 to 3 months. Applicant must be accepted in the
CWRU PREP
program in order to apply for this position.
Education:
High school education required; Bachelor's degree required before start date.

WORKING CONDITIONS
General laboratory environment. May be exposed to animals, infectious agent, radioactive materials, chemicals and bloodborne pathogens.
