PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Special Programs Assistant has primary responsibility for all aspects of supporting the Special Programs Team through strategic relationship management and communications. The Assistant files, maintains, and organizes a variety of documents and information on behalf of educational personnel within the organization. In addition, the Assistant helps prepare for all meetings, and trainings conducted by Special Programs Coordinators.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certifications (a) High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge & Skills (a) Required to speak, read and write English and Spanish. (b) Proficient keyboarding skills. (c) Ability to meet established deadlines. (d) Customer service oriented. (e) Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Experience (a) 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
(a) Responsible for filing, retrieving, and maintaining records for the Special Programs Department as needed. (b) Performs routine tasks like data entry, organization, cross-referencing, scanning, sorting, and other general clerical duties. (c) Prepares requisitions and memorandums for materials required by the Special Programs Department. (d) Assists with special projects as assigned by the EDASS as needed. (e) Provides strong attention to details with emphasis on accuracy and quality, solid critical thinking skills, and excellent communication skills. (f) Creates and prepares folders and other documents for various internal and external events. (g) Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment. (h) Maintains an appropriate level of confidentiality of employee and student information. (i) Other duties or projects as assigned by the EDASS.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
