Student employees will contribute to research projects supervised by science faculty, who are participating in the INBRE grant. Students will apply laboratory and field science skills in the design and conducting of science experiments. Participating students are expected to meet grant requirements, including completing grant reporting and project presentations. This position is intended for students pursuing science or medical degrees. Reports To Education/Qualifications Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college Sheridan College Student currently enrolled Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Detail oriented Organized Able to follow directions Punctual Reliable Good communication skills Experience in a biology and/or chemistry lab Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Standing, light lifting, must wear PPE in the lab while working with chemicals, outdoor activities in various weather, some travel. Percentage of time 100% Responsibility/Duty Maintain and organize science equipment; design and conduct research experiments, data input and analysis; safely make and use chemical solutions, report on progress and findings to grant agency, participate in research presentations and UW Undergraduate Research Days.
