The most important responsibility is Manager-On-Duty when the Manager is off. Also, the ALM will tackle select managerial duties, including creating the lodging team schedule. And the ALM will support the Manager in developing, improving, and maintaining lodging policies and procedures. Expectations and Duties Accountability Conduct coaching, follow-ups, and some corrective actions Ensure department and/or facility is closed properly at end of day Support development and execution of training plan Communicate and promote BARK culture and values to team members Operations Support Create an effective team schedule, ensuring proper staffing and considering team member preferences and requests Managing inventory and ordering of maintenance and cleaning supplies Best Practices Establish or update policies to improve quality of care and value provided Anticipate, identify, and resolve system breakdowns Ensure proper care of the facility and equipment through cleaning, preventive maintenance, energy conservation, repairs, and inspections Other Duties as Assigned Required Skills Strong leadership presence High quality customer service attitude Desire to create a courteous, friendly, professional work environment Ability to train, motivate, and manage team members consistently and fairly Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational ability Desired Experience and Education High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years' experience in a pet facility or pet care environment Excellent work history and references Requirements Must be able to complete all work in a safe manner, including operating equipment. Must be able to handle dogs of all sizes without being afraid of them. Maintain a respectful and courteous attitude toward clients and teammates in all situations. Our guests require care 365 days; weekend and holiday work are assigned on rotating basis. Must be able to squat, stoop, bend, lift 40 pounds, and do a lot of walking. Must be able to react quickly to auditory signals from teammates, animals, or equipment. Maintain a neat and professional appearance while at work, according to the dress policy. Read, write legibly, and communicate clearly in English with professionalism and tact. Ability to type on a keyboard, use a mouse, and view information on a computer screen. Able to grasp, hold, and manipulate objects varying from small to large with both hands.
