Job Description
Join our expanding team as a Lodging Assistant ! As a Lodging Assistant you'll be responsible for providing proper husbandry care for all lodging animals. This includes feeding, bathing, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the cleanliness of kennels, runs, daycare areas, and outdoor yards. Additionally, Lodging Assistants will be tasked with the cleanliness of the lodging and common areas of the building. All while upholding Pampered Pets Veterinary Clinic and Spa's core values. Duties and Responsibilities Provide exceptional service for the pets in our care and their families while upholding our Core Values. Contribute to maintaining and promoting a positive work culture. Oversee and interact with dogs and cats of all sizes with comfort and confidence. Receive animals being admitted to the facility, ensuring proper identification, recording their lodging locations, temperaments, and personal items. Maintain a safe and positive experience for dogs and cats by adhering to our safety standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment. Perform work duties in changing environments both inside and outside the facility as the daily weather and seasons change. Ensure that each animal and their living spaces are clean and properly groomed before being released to their family as directed. Understand the importance of safety in the use of chemicals in our facility while following OSHA guidelines. Qualifications Possess a genuine passion for dogs and cats, coupled with a gentle touch and calm demeanor. Communicate clearly, consistently, and positively with clients and team members. Maintain a consistent work ethic. Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills. The ability to work efficiently and effectively with a team or individually. Possess the ability to lift upward to 50 pounds. Possess the capacity to maintain a confident and professional demeanor, even when stressed or focused on individual tasks. An understanding of the importance to prioritizing tasks and staying productive during work shifts. Be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods, even in an environment with barking dogs.
