Compensation:
Competitive salary based on the GLFT Master Agreement Your Impact As a vital member of our Secondary Counseling Team, you will support both middle and high school students by: ?
Holistic Counseling:
Developing social, emotional, educational, and career plans in partnership with families. ?
Mental Health Leadership:
Supporting the student-led "Tommy's First Mates" mental health team and serving on the Secondary Crisis Team. ?
Community Integration:
Creating internship opportunities and collaborating with the Career Tech Center in Traverse City. ?
Academic Guidance:
Monitoring student progress (grades, attendance, discipline) and administering assessments like the PSAT and AP exams. ?
Collaborative Growth:
Working with teachers and staff to implement classroom counseling activities and participating in professional development. Who You Are ?
Qualified:
You hold a Master of Arts in Counseling and a valid Michigan teaching certificate with a School Counseling Endorsement (NT) and License (SCL) (or PESC authorization). ?
Expert:
You have a deep understanding of adolescent developmental stages and a "whole child" philosophy. ?
Communicator:
You possess strong human relation skills and believe that healthy kids make for stronger communities. ?
Advocate:
You maintain high expectations for all students while prioritizing their safety and mental health. How to
