Security Officer - Campground / Outdoor Recreation Property Position Overview Safety First is hiring dependable and professional Security Officers for full-time and part-time positions at a seasonal outdoor recreation and campground property in Connecticut. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, observant, and capable of maintaining a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment for guests, visitors, and staff. This position involves a combination of patrol duties, guest assistance, access monitoring, and incident response throughout the property. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the property Monitor entrances, exits, and recreational areas Enforce campground rules, policies, and quiet hours professionally Observe and report suspicious activity, disturbances, or safety hazards Respond to guest concerns, emergencies, and incidents as needed Assist with traffic flow, parking control, and site access during busy periods Complete daily activity logs and incident reports accurately Maintain a professional and customer-service-oriented presence at all times Coordinate with management and emergency services when necessary Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or GED Ability to pass a background check Reliable transportation Strong communication and observation skills Ability to work independently and remain alert during shifts Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Qualifications Connecticut Security Guard License (Guard Card) Prior experience in security, customer service, hospitality, or law enforcement CPR/AED or First Aid certification Experience working in outdoor, recreational, or event environments What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and assignment Flexible scheduling (full-time and part-time opportunities) Ongoing training and development Professional and supportive work environment Consistent seasonal and long-term work opportunities How to Apply Please submit your application along with your resume.
