The main purpose of a Security Officer with Aegis Protective Services is to "observe and report." A Security Officer II is a more tenured Security Officer with the Company.

Position Requirements Observe and Report:

Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises, conducting regular inspections to identify and deter potential security risks, illegal activity, or breaches. Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the security of the premises. Maintain clear and effective communication with site and Company staff regarding security matters. When required, complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities. Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action. Provide excellent service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns. Manage conflicts and disturbances in a calm and professional manner. Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed. Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security functions and processes. Complete additional work tasks with guidance from the Field Support team. Desired Skills High School Diploma/GED is required. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred. Experience in a school setting is a plus. Strong observational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. First Aid and CPR certification is desirable. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical tasks as needed. Ability to work flexible hours, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to operate a golf cart. Physical Requirements Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers. Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.; stair climbing, walking and, at times, standing. Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities. General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily.
