Security Officer/Courtesy Patrol

JOB SUMMARY

The Security Officer is responsible for security services and property operations of the public ("common") areas ensuring that the rules, regulations, and policies are followed. The security officer must prioritize and respond to security requests in a timely manner, ensuring the best possible experience for owners, guests, staff, and visitors. Excellent customer service, courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment are essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Patrolling the common areas by golf cart, on foot or bicycle and providing a visible presence. 2. Enforcing the Rules and Regulations, and other related policies, through written and oral communications. 3. Parking Enforcement of the Parking Policy and issuance of citations via the Passport System, as necessary. 4. Informing construction site supervisors and their staff of any violations of the Jobsite Rules. Providing any non-compliance issues to the appropriate manager as needed. 5. Enforcing pool rules and access to the pools as described in the Amenity Pass Policy. 6. Monitoring the private walkovers and enforcing the Amenity Pass Policy. 7. Responding to calls for service and providing any necessary documentation of the response. 8. Assisting with litter and trash pickup throughout the community, beach and walkovers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent 1 or more years of experience in security, law enforcement, traffic control, or similar field Valid Florida Driver's License. Candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays, with the possibility of various shifts. Pay is commensurate with experience. A criminal background check and drug screening with satisfactory results are required prior to employment.
