Seeking Groundskeeper & Maintenance Technician

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic part time Groundskeeper & Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a perfect position for teachers, or college students looking to stay busy this summer. We anticipate approximately 20 hours per week. This vital role combines outdoor grounds maintenance with comprehensive facilities upkeep, ensuring our environment remains safe, functional, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess a strong mechanical aptitude to handle diverse maintenance tasks efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained property while developing your skills in facilities management and maintenance operations. Duties Perform routine landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, and irrigation system management to maintain attractive outdoor spaces. Conduct minor general repairs and preventative maintenance on building systems such as electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC units, and mechanical equipment using schematics and technical manuals. Supervise or collaborate with team members on large projects or repairs, demonstrating leadership and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Qualifications Some knowledge in light maintenance and groundskeeping preferred but will train. Must have a driver's license and own transportation. Be willing to travel between Lake Ann and Traverse City West Bay property.
