Job Description

Job Description As a Senior Accountant specializing in financial analysis and compliance, you'll delve into intricate financial records and reports with precision. Your expertise ensures the legitimacy and accuracy of all financial transactions, maintaining meticulous ledger records. Balancing accounts and meticulously verifying bank statements are integral to your role, alongside adeptly navigating electronic ledger systems.
Responsibilities:
Compile and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts using electronic data and requisite documentation. Prepare comprehensive financial status and transaction reports, including profit and loss statements, adhering to regulatory requirements. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, interpreting and implementing new legislation as needed. Develop a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policies and regulations, and facilitate the rollout of reconciliation procedures. Spearhead the implementation of new policies and procedures within the finance department to maintain a robust audit system. Provide guidance to junior accountants and staff, offering expertise through informational sessions and ongoing support. Focus on tax compliance, including sales, use, personal, and motor vehicle taxes, and oversee contract reviews. Play a pivotal role in the company's financial management, handling all account reconciliations and reporting to relevant stakeholders. Undertake any additional duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Senior Accountant. 5+ years' experience in Intercompany transactions and reconciliation, with a focus on audit preparation. Proficiency in navigating International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) tax regulations.
