Credit Union Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a financial services organization serving credit unions in the search for a Senior Documentation Specialist.
Responsibilities:
Prepare loan documentation for new loans, renewals, and modifications, including Commercial Real Estate, Lines of Credit, Term Loans, Construction Loans, and SBA Loans. Coordinate due diligence activities, including ordering title work, surveys, and insurance, and tracking third-party documentation. Organize and maintain pre-close loan files, ensuring all required documentation is received and complete. Work with business development officers, loan officers, credit analysts, and borrowers to gather required documentation and clear pre-closing conditions. Coordinate loan closing activities and facilitate funding and disbursement of loan proceeds. Prepare wires and coordinate loan fund disbursements. Review and audit executed closing documents for accuracy and completeness. Ensure post-closing requirements are met, including recordings, final policies, and exception tracking. Support loan file preparation for booking, imaging, and servicing. Collaborate with underwriting and portfolio management teams to ensure smooth transition of loan files through the process. Coordinate documentation workload assignments to ensure balanced distribution and timely closings. Provide training, coaching, and support to documentation staff and internal stakeholders. Identify, research, and help resolve documentation and due diligence issues as they arise. Participate in policy development discussions and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of commercial lending, credit, or loan documentation experience required. Strong knowledge of commercial loan types, including CRE, C&I, construction, and SBA lending. Experience with loan closing processes, due diligence, and documentation preparation. Job # 2252 Share
