Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Field Technician specializing in Geotechnical engineering to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will lead on-site technical operations, ensuring the integrity and quality of geotechnical investigations and construction activities. Your expertise will drive successful project execution through meticulous data collection, quality control, and inspection processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, applying your technical skills to solve complex geotechnical challenges and support safe, efficient construction practices. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, testing, and in-situ measurements to gather critical data for engineering analysis. Oversee construction activities related to geotechnical projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications. Perform detailed quality inspections of materials such as concrete and masonry used on-site, verifying compliance with project requirements. Manage data collection processes accurately, documenting test results, site conditions, and construction progress for reporting purposes. Coordinate with contractors and project managers to ensure proper implementation of geotechnical design elements and construction methods. Maintain rigorous quality control protocols throughout all phases of fieldwork, ensuring reliable results for analysis. Apply analysis skills to interpret geotechnical data, identify potential issues early, and recommend effective solutions to project teams. Quality assurance and Quality Control Requirements Proven experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of geotechnical principles and practices. Laboratory experience related to soil testing, material analysis, or similar technical work is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with construction activities such as concrete forming and masonry work. Knowledge of quality inspection procedures for construction materials and workmanship. Familiarity with contracts, construction inspection standards, and safety regulations governing field operations. Strong analysis skills to evaluate test data and site conditions accurately. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and documenting findings effectively. Construction site experience with a focus on geotechnical investigations or related disciplines is essential. Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
