Job Description

Overview We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team for a newly established second shift. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our production machinery and facility systems. Shift & Compensation Schedule:
Monday - Thursday (4-day work week)

2:30 PM - 2:30

Mid-September Pay Range:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour Position Purpose The Maintenance Technician supports daily operations by troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and responding quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. You will play a key role in maintaining building infrastructure and facility systems to ensure peak operational performance.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Repair:
Respond promptly to equipment and facility breakdowns to reduce operational disruptions.
Preventive Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance on production machinery, including lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues across all facility systems.
Facility Oversight:
Conduct daily walkthroughs of the production floor, facility interior/exterior, and roof to identify and resolve issues.
Refrigeration & Systems:
Maintain refrigeration systems, monitor units, and coordinate specialized cleaning/maintenance.
Administrative Support:
Keep accurate maintenance records, equipment history, and work order updates in CertDox.
Contractor Coordination:
Assist in managing general facility maintenance by coordinating with third-party contractors for plumbing, landscaping, and electrical services.
Requirements Experience:
Proven background as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
Blueprints:
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Safety:
Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational training or certification in mechanical or electrical fields; bilingual skills are a plus. Working Conditions This role operates in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Requires physical activity, including walking production floors, climbing ladders, and accessing roofs. While this is a set 2nd shift, some flexibility may be required for preventive maintenance during non-production hours.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
