Job Description
Cabinet IQ of Milwaukee is seeking an experienced, client-focused Kitchen & Cabinet Designer to join our growing team. This is an opportunity for a talented designer and sales professional to work on beautiful kitchen, bath, and whole-home cabinetry projects in a brand-new premium boutique showroom environment. Supported by qualified leads, modern systems, and a proven process, you'll help clients bring their vision to life while delivering a true 5-star experience. This role combines design expertise, attention to detail, technology fluency, and consultative sales skills — ideal for someone who thrives in a professional, relationship-driven environment. We offer a $50K base salary plus commission opportunities designed for total compensation over $100K. This is NOT a big box retailer environment or low quality product portfolio. Brand-new inspirational showroom designed to spark creativity Qualified inbound leads and referral-driven business Paid design retainers that eliminate "free design" work for non-serious shoppers High-performance Design Live 2020 laptop provided Streamlined CRM and lead management systems Opportunity to work on kitchen, bath, mudroom, office, bar, entertainment center, and whole-home cabinetry projects Supportive, growth-oriented culture with direct collaboration with ownership Strong earning potential with uncapped commission opportunities What You'll Do Guide homeowners through the cabinetry design and selection process from concept to completion Conduct showroom and in-home consultations to understand client goals, lifestyle needs, design preferences, and budget Create accurate, functional, and visually compelling cabinetry designs using Design Live 2020 Develop detailed proposals, pricing, and project documentation Maintain organized project communication and CRM updates throughout the customer journey Collaborate with operations and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution Build strong relationships with homeowners, remodelers, builders, and trade professionals Deliver a polished, consultative, 5-star customer experience at every stage of the project Contribute to showroom presentation and overall company growth initiatives What Success Looks Like Clients consistently leave positive reviews and referrals Designs are accurate, organized, and installation-ready Projects move smoothly from consultation through completion Strong close rates and healthy project margins Long-term relationships are developed with homeowners and trade partners Clients feel confident, informed, and excited throughout the process Qualifications 3+ years of kitchen, bath, or cabinetry design and sales experience Strong proficiency with Design Live 2020 / 2020 Design software Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills Strong attention to detail and project ownership mindset Experience working directly with homeowners and/or trade professionals CRM experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits Base salary + uncapped commission structure Strong earning potential for high-performing designers Professional growth and advancement opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Technology and systems designed to help you perform at a high level About Cabinet IQ Cabinet IQ proudly serves homeowners throughout Milwaukee, Waukesha, Lake Country, and surrounding communities by delivering exceptional cabinetry and countertop design solutions with a focus on craftsmanship, communication, and customer experience.
