Job Description

Please note : This job is ONSITE at our Moreno Valley, CA manufacturing plant. No hybrid or remote is offered. Solaris Paper is a North American towel and tissue manufacturer with plants in Moreno Valley and Oklahoma City. We are seeking a Procurement Manager who will lead category strategy and strategic sourcing execution to deliver total value (cost, quality, service, innovation, sustainability and risk resilience). The role owns end-to-end Source-to-Contract and supports Source-to-Pay outcomes for assigned categories, builds strategic supplier partnerships, and drives supplier development to improve performance and reduce supply risk. The role works across a matrix organization and collaborates with stakeholders across geographies and time zones. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on cost savings, quality improvement, and supplier diversity. Lead complex contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, compliance with regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and risk mitigation. Manage procurement activities utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and other supply chain management tools to streamline purchasing processes. Oversee sourcing initiatives across categories including manufacturing materials, logistics services, and indirect supplies, ensuring optimal supplier selection and performance. Conduct root cause analysis on procurement issues to identify process improvements, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain stability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production planning, quality management, logistics, and finance to align procurement activities with operational needs. Monitor supplier performance through key metrics related to delivery times, pricing accuracy, quality standards, and compliance; develop strategies for continuous improvement. Lead negotiations on pricing structures, service levels, and contractual obligations while maintaining strong supplier relationships that foster innovation and reliability. Ensure procurement activities adhere to industry standards such as category management principles and best practices in supply chain management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field; advanced certifications preferred (e.g., CPSM or CPM). Extensive experience in procurement management within manufacturing or industrial environments. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or equivalent platforms; strong understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems. Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, contract management, and sourcing strategies across diverse categories. Deep knowledge of supply chain processes including materials management, logistics coordination, production planning, and supplier management. Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) for organizations working with government contracts. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement process improvements effectively. Excellent negotiation skills paired with the ability to build strategic supplier partnerships that support long-term goals. Pay:
$130,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
