Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Caregiver to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient-centered care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and home care environments. Your energy and enthusiasm will help enhance the quality of life for our patients and residents while supporting their physical, emotional, and social needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized care. Responsibilities Assist patients and residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and dignity Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR systems) Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices to ensure safe patient handling and mobility Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver comprehensive care in acute care, sub-acute, post-acute, outpatient clinics, or home settings Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during patient interactions Qualifications Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or Caregiver with current state licensure or registration Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals (Level I Trauma Center or ICU experience preferred), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Prior experience with specialized populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or those requiring hospice or palliative care is highly desirable Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality Join us in delivering high-quality care that transforms lives!
