Solipsys is a wholly owned subsidiary of Collins Aerospace/RTX and is currently seeking a Sr Software Engineer who is enthusiastic, hardworking, and proactive in writing and developing code using programming languages and related technologies such as Java, C++, Angular, GraphQL, REST, KafKa, and Typescript (among many others). The successful candidate will work in an exciting environment, directly contributing to the development of new software capabilities and products. Solipsys is an industry leader in the development of command and control software systems and operates in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced business environment with both commercial and Government customers, including a mix of domestic and international pursuits and programs. What You Will Do Design, architect and code critical capabilities in an active Agile environment. Develop innovative new features for a new real-time situational awareness Command & Control (C2) systems. Work in a highly collaborate team environment to design, architect and innovate software solutions. Engage & build positive relationships with both customers as well as internal & external employees. Travel to customer sites for demos, integration and support. Ability to travel up to 25%. Qualifications You Must Have Relevant work experience in software development using object oriented programming languages such as Java or C++. Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, information retrieval. Relevant work experience with full life cycle development including exposure to software requirements, design, development, debug and test. Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience. Qualifications We Prefer Direct hands on individual experience with GraphQL, REST, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Postgresql, Docker, Kubernetes, Angular, Typescript, HTML/CSS, among many other programming languages and related technologies. Relevant work experience in software development using object oriented paradigms and multithreaded systems.
