Service Deli Associate

Service Deli Associate Job Description:

We are looking for courteous, customer-focused Deli Associates who are committed to providing customers with the best service possible. Deli Associates will clean, prepare workstations and displays, answer questions and respond to customer requests, and provide information to clients to ensure that they select the products that best fit their needs. To succeed as a Deli Associate, you should be polite, prompt, and knowledgeable. Additionally, you should be able to meet the physical demands of the position while providing customers with the best possible experience. A Service Deli Associate is responsible for handling, serving, and making ready to eat food products while interacting with customers to make sales. Respond to customer queries, make product recommendations and provide samples. Help customers locate, choose and buy products. Weigh, label, package and make products ready for billing and delivery. Stock and organize displays and showcases. Clean the work areas and maintain tools and equipment. Coordinate with other staff in following food safety and hygiene procedures according to company policy. Ensure prompt service and high level of customer satisfaction.

Service Deli Associate Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent At least one year of experience as Deli Clerk or in a related food service position Physical ability to lift heavy products and work in a standing position for long hours Operating knowledge of weighing scales, meat and cheese slicers Ability to understand and follow instructions and regulations regarding food safety and sanitation Excellent communication skills and customer-centric approach Basic math and computation skills

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
