Job Description
- Provides fast, friendly, courteous and helpful service to all guests according to Viejas Guest Service Standards. Ensure all slot team members project an approachable, engaging, and accommodating demeanor to both internal and external guests.
- Directly supervises Slot Representatives including providing employees with schedules, work assignments, training and development, coaching, directions, accountability for results (follow-up), rewards and recognition, disciplinary actions, information, and performance reviews.
- Reviews payroll for consistency and accuracy in reporting.
- Manages daily reports as necessary, providing accurate and timely information to supporting teams. Oversees the daily set up for the next shift.
- Ensures all machine repairs, attendant pay outs, ticket transactions, and jackpot payoffs are performed in a timely and professional manner and all documentation is completed thoroughly and accurately.
- Maintains accountability for Slot Representatives' change banks insuring a sufficient supply of cash and coins, in the appropriate denominations, to accommodate guests' requests.
- Develops lasting relationships with guests and arranges comps for qualified players appropriately. Attends player special events as appropriate.
- Supports and positively influences team members to participate in team member events. Maintains an optimistic outlook and spirit. Draws the best from others and builds group morale.
- Ensures full Slot Operations team member compliance with the tip policy.
- Is observant for suspicious guest activity including the use of counterfeit monies or other attempts to cheat the machines, other guests, and/or team members and reports suspicions to the Slot Shift Manager.
- Safeguards company assets.
- Serves as a source of information along with the Slot Representatives, for all guests regarding the Players Club Program, promotions, restaurants, entertainment and other facility amenities and services.
- Maintains the cleanliness, integrity, and safety of the facility throughout the shift.
- Ensures that all laws, gaming regulations, policies, procedures and safety guidelines are followed.
- Promotes teamwork within Slot Operations and with other departments.
- Wears an in-ear communications device while performing job duties and responsibilities.
- Practices Viejas Guest Service Standards while performing job duties and responsibilities.
- Protects guests personal information and maintains confidentiality regarding the guest' business dealings.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with minimum of 2 year supervisory experience.
- Extensive cash-handling and cash-related paperwork processing experience.
- Experience working in retail, hospitality or gaming industry preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment while demonstrating good personal relations/guest service skills.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good supervisory skills with the ability to resolve problems as they arise and handle situations in an expedient manner. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be a self starter with the ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- High mathematical skills, such as the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
