Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a direct impact supporting students' communication and language development in a rewarding school environment. This contract opportunity is perfect for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who thrives in collaborative settings and enjoys working with diverse student populations. You'll work closely with educators, families, and support staff to ensure each child's needs are met, contributing to a meaningful and engaging learning experience.
Ideal qualifications and experience include:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active SLP license (or eligibility for licensure). Previous experience in an educational or school-based setting is advantageous. Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to varied learning needs and classroom environments. Collaborative mindset with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with a range of assessment tools and therapy strategies.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, evaluations, and screenings for students with speech, language, or communication disorders. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's goals and needs. Provide targeted therapy sessions, both individual and group, using best practices and up-to-date methodologies. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support specialists to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed. Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and student progress. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and district guidelines. Offer training or resources for school staff to support speech and language development within the classroom.
