This is a chance to shape the recreation experience for one of Florida's most desirable communities: setting strategy against the Recreation Services Master Plan, leading major capital projects, and building the partnerships that make it all work.

[X] full-time staff [$X]M operating budget [X] parks and facilities reports to [Deputy City Manager] (client to confirm) What you'll lead Strategy & operations Direct the full department through subordinate managers; set goals, performance measures, and service standards aligned with the City's Strategic Plan and Recreation Services Master Plan. Capital projects Lead planning, design, construction, renovation, and lifecycle management of recreation facilities, coordinating with City departments, consultants, contractors, and partner agencies. Money Build and administer the operating and capital budgets; oversee enterprise operations, cost recovery, grants, sponsorships, concessions, contracts, and procurement. People Recruit, coach, and develop the management team; drive succession planning, employee engagement, and workforce planning. Partnerships & public presence Serve as executive liaison to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and primary partner to the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District; present to the City Manager, City Council, and community stakeholders; build relationships with schools, nonprofits, youth sports, cultural groups, and businesses. Emergency readiness Direct departmental emergency preparedness and continuity of operations, and lead the department during declared emergencies.
