Directs and plans operational aspects of University Landscape Services. Establishes policies and procedures for the design and maintenance of University grounds and athletic fields. Hires, trains and evaluates the performance of full-time and part-time staff. Oversees labor relations. Ensures a productive and safe work environment and compliance with human resources policies and procedures and collective bargaining agreements. Coordinates and implements plans for future facilities and renovations. Manages operating budgets for landscaping and transportation services and equipment. Directs and evaluates outdoor maintenance and first impression quality. Identifies and implements necessary service or operational changes. Plans and manages acquisition, maintenance and disposition of equipment and fleet vehicles. Directs recycling, sustainability and waste reduction initiatives for the University. Represents the department in University planning groups.

Short Job Description:

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution. Five years' relevant experience. Supervisory experience. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
