Kinross Gold Corporation The Manh Choh Project is a greenfield gold deposit in eastern Alaska being developed with ore being hauled to Kinross' Fort Knox mine north of Fairbanks for processing. The mine site is located in the Tetlin Hills, approximately 250 miles southeast of Fort Knox and 10 miles southeast of Tok. Production is expected to begin in 2024. Job Description Applies analytical insights, data management, and data modeling skills to the design and development of processes, practices, and methodologies. The role meets operational or financial objectives by providing timely analysis for strategic management decisions. Job Responsibilities Research information to support decision making and improve processes, technologies, or methodologies, including development of operational or financial tools Analyze business performance data to produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports, and ad hoc reports, as requested soliciting input from a number of internal and external sources Lead activities related to a financial/operational system, program, or process Prepare, analyze, and interpret information including budgets, forecasts, mine plans, business plans and operating review presentations Compile, prepare, and audit documents such as annual operating plans and monthly financial reporting packages for business units Coordinate with management to gather and analyze operational or financial results and prepare recommendations based on analytical models Prepare financial analysis and interpretation necessary for decisions on capital investment, customer bid, and proposals, pricing, and other financial or operational related issues Education and Experience Education University degree in finance / economics Additional specialized education of up to 2 years Formal professional or technical registration in appropriate area of expertise Experience 3 - 5 years of related work experience or equivalent Previous experience in the mining industry is preferred Skills Attention to detail and strong analytical skills Reporting Relationships Typically reports into a Corporate / Operations Manager / Director Career Framework and Level Accountability (P2) Knowledge (P2) Leadership (P2) Complexity (P2) Impact (P2) Legislative Requirements Language Requirements Travel Requirements Capabilities Kinross is a Canadian-based global senior gold mining company with operations and projects in the United States, Brazil, Mauritania, Chile, and Canada.
