Consumers Energy is Michigan's largest energy provider, providing natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state's 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties. Department SummaryThe Customer Experience Internship Program is geared toward current college students or recent graduates who have a passion forprojectmanagement,strategy, sales, marketing, economics, innovationor data analytics and an interest in Consumers Energy and the energy industry. The Internship Program at Consumers Energy is a keycomponentof realizing the Customer organization's goals. Job Description/ResponsibilitiesAn intern in this group will be helping the subject matter experts make the best decisions possible about critical business issues. In this role,you'llbe exposed to a wide range of energy industry issues critical to the company's continued success. You will be continually exposed to challenges that stretch your analytical skills, creativity, business acumen, interpersonalskillsand leadership. The successful candidate for this position will have primary responsibility forassistingin the delivery of operational strategic initiatives, focused on achieving performance metrics, processefficiencyand customer satisfaction.

Deliver knowledge and research on market trends,benchmarkingand process improvement techniques.

Analyze the strategic, operating, and financial impacts of business proposals and/or external regulatory /legislative proposals.

Manage the development of executive level presentations as an effective communication vehicle. This position offers an opportunity to develop a skillset of core problem solving skills to a strategy consultant role. Interns will be asked to explore the most pressing and potentially disruptive forces facing the utility and energy industries today and develop strategies that will aid senior executives in making decisions.

MinimumGPA requirement for this internship position is 3.0.
