DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This internship provides practical experience with policy review, compliance processes, and organizational procedures within the Department of Corrections. The role helps you understand how internal operations and standards support the broader mission of the agency. As a Policy Coordination Intern, you will perform the following duties:
Policy Learning:
Learn how policies, memos, and procedures support agency operations
Memo Review:
Analyze staff memorandums to determine alignment with DOC policies and recommend updates
Operational Insight:
Understand how agencies create and maintain internal procedures
Compliance Understanding:
Examine how policy, training, and accreditation connect to organizational compliance
Best Practices:
Study effective policy management methods used in public service settings
Experience Development:
Engage in tasks tailored to your interests to gain broad exposure to the DOC mission
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a full-time internship from December 2026 to January 2027.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Internship Requirement:
You must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program in business, government, social science, or criminal justice from an accredited college or university.
Additional Requirement:
